The app shows me that 99% of my power is being generated by solar and that the Generation Mix is 99% solar. This in turn throughs the accuracy of the daily costs out and makes it impossible to accurately claim for business use of the vehicle.
I do not have solar power and I can safely say with certainty that 99% of Genesis power generation is not solar, and even then they would be charging me more than $0.02 cents per day for power
Can this be remedied as it largely renders this important feature of the application useless.
Hi there.
It sounds like the power sensor in your installation has been installed the wrong way round and thus the charger thinks energy is coming from solar diversion instead of from the grid. Please could you send an email to support@evnex.com with your serial number and we can check the setup and get it sorted out for you?
Thank you.
Regards,
Tom
I know this is an old thread but I just had my e2 plus installed and it’s bright sunny day today and yesterday here in Aus. I’ve used 0.68 kWh from the grid since midnight, almost 0 of which has happened since I started charging the car on solar diversion only. Since I started charging the price has gone up but the imported power from my solaredge app and home assistant energy dashboard hasn’t changed. The Evnex app still shows I’m pulling ~6.5kw and some going back to the grid. I’m producing 9.5kw of solar as I type this.
I’m confused why the app is thinking I’m paying anything. Admittedly the amount is small. As I’ve finished writing this the cost has gone to $1.04 (20.7kwh) from $.98 when at 19.6kwh between 14:38 and 14:48.
Not sure what’s going on here…
The app rightfully takes into account how much feed in tariff you are forgoing because in charging your car you re not selling the power back to your retailer
Looking at the calculation I expect you have told the app that your feed in Tarif is 5c/kW.
So 20.7kW x 0.05c/kW = $1.04
Ooooh! That makes way more sense, thank you! Unfortunately I have dynamic feed in tariffs (15¢ after 4pm, etc). I cannot see there is a way to have multiple feed in rates so that feature isn’t that helpful.
Thanks for clarifying though!
