Hi Organix,
Apologies about the late response.
To set-up a short duration you should be able to select the edit schedule option under the charging settings and add or edit the time slot for 2-3 hours.
Or going under controls and sending the a charge now command (same as pushing the physical button) and leaving the vehicle charging for desired time (you will need to remember to send a cancel command if you want to leave the vehicle plugged in but pause the session).
Say you sent a charge now command to start charging and you were going to use the vehicle in 2-3 hours, once you unplugged the vehicle, the charger settings revert to your using schedule settings automatically.
I would use the schedule to add the 2-3 hours charging period if you wanted a constant time slot, otherwise if a one off charging session of 2-3 hours the charge now control command would be my go to choice for convenience.
Hi Pedro,
In the Charging Settings I’m seeing Edit Behaviours, Edit Prices and Edit per day of the week. The only way to edit the time slot is to change the pricing periods for our energy providers plan. Why was the flexibility of the previous functionality in terms of charge scheduling dumped in favour of this clunky usability? As per my previous comments on this the functionality of the Evnex EVSE is now little better than the more basic Juicepoint EVSE we retained when the Evnex was installed. The only advantage is the ability to nominate solar diversion but as I forgot to unplug our EV after yesterday’s solar diversion session, and an earlier overnight charge (Thursday night) was still in place our EV was charged from the grid rather than being capable of receiving solar sourced generation today.
Is there any way I can roll back the changes you’ve made to the Charging Settings function?
Hi Organix,
You should be able to edit a time slot or add a new period under the “edit schedule” option.
You might need to Select the correct schedule type.
You can add a period at any day of the week and select the charging behavior and tariff price you want for that period.
Unfortunately it is not possible to roll back to an older version of the app. We have developed a simple schedule type which you can select which is essentially how the old charging schedule setting was.
I still think we can accommodate your use case with the current app. Perhaps you could call our support line when you have a chance and our support team can walk you through the setup in the app.
