Intelligent charging, ready for a departure time

I have seen a feature from SMA where you are able to select a time you are planning to leave, and the charger will charger your car using the best mix of grid and solar so that it is charged in time for your trip.

Is such a feature available on EVNEX E2 Plus or is it in the planning.

The description of the feature is below.

Using the SMA Energy App:

  • Open the SMA Energy app.
  • Navigate to the charging settings or schedule section.
  • Enter your desired departure time and the target amount of energy (or range in km) you need for your electric vehicle.
  • The Sunny Home Manager will then intelligently schedule the charging process to ensure your vehicle is fully charged by your departure time, while also optimizing for cost and energy efficiency.

That’s interesting! No we don’t have such a feature but I’ll add it into our backlog as it sounds useful.

Hi team, I’d like to be able to do this as well, with our X22.

For example, I’m leaving tomorrow morning at 7am for a long road trip, start charging in the middle of the night during off peak, and be ready either at 7am (or even when off peak finishes at 6am).

This way the car isn’t sitting at 100% charge for an extended period, stressing the chemistry.

Has there been any progress on integrating this feature?
